Louis Vuitton's Elegant Istanbul Debut
Louis Vuitton presented its Spring/Summer 2025 collection, fine jewellery and furniture at Rixos Tersane Istanbul, a restored historic shipyard, to a high-profile guest list.
Louis Vuitton unveiled an exclusive collection for Istanbul society at Rixos Tersane Istanbul. The evening went beyond a fashion show, bringing together clothing, jewellery and furniture in a restored historic shipyard.
The venue: Rixos Tersane Istanbul
Set in one of Istanbul's most storied districts, Rixos Tersane Istanbul is a beautifully restored historic shipyard. Its grand halls and original stonework provided a natural backdrop for Louis Vuitton's modern take on French craftsmanship. Each room had its own theme, setting the mood for different parts of the collection.
The guests
Attendees included Ceylan Çapa, Hande Can and Rüya Büyüktetik, as well as Mr. Servet Meral, a prominent figure in Turkey's social and cultural scene. Ceylan Çapa's gown was the talk of the night, and Rüya Büyüktetik wore a statement necklace from the new jewellery collection.
The Spring/Summer 2025 collection
The collection blended modern silhouettes and Parisian finesse with subtle references to Ottoman artistry, with an emphasis on structure, flow and the movement of fabric. The creative direction drew on Istanbul's mix of tradition and innovation.
- Silk-trimmed tunics with intricate embroidery
- High-waisted tailored trousers in flowing linen
- Minimal dresses that shimmered under chandeliers
- Bright colours combined with earthy tones
Beyond fashion
Fine jewellery
In private viewing rooms, guests saw fine jewellery featuring white diamonds, sapphires and rare materials, pairing French romanticism with Turkish artistry in form and symbolism.
Furniture and décor
Louis Vuitton also presented high-end furniture, some of it never before seen in Turkey, including sculpted chaise longues, artisanal lighting and detailed cabinetry. The pieces turned each room into a conceptual installation.
Themed rooms
Every room told its own story, from one draped in lavender and lace to another with a futuristic LED setup, guiding guests through a multi-sensory journey.
What it says about Istanbul
The evening showed how international houses are adapting their message and aesthetics to local taste while keeping their identity, with fabric choices and cultural references selected for Istanbul's cosmopolitan audience. Turkey's growing affluent class, strong tourism sector and deep cultural roots make it attractive to luxury brands, and Istanbul's standing as a style destination continues to rise.
